How skilled hands can ease the pain

Osteopathy

Pain

The infirm and aching body quickly becomes a cage. In worrying that the next movement could worsen it, our spontaneity is inhibited. Restrictions are manifold, affecting actions ranging from simply sitting in the office to taking part in your beloved hobby

Free

Anyone who is faced with these painful restrictions truly appreciates health. It is the prerequisite for the achievement of our goals. Osteopathy can help alleviate the cause of pain, and even prevent it. Without pain, your body transforms from being an obstacle to an ally.

Root Cause

Imagine a once-fresh and vibrant mountain lake with inflows and outflows that become blocked over time. The water turns stale and lacking in oxygen, and the fish can no longer find food. How does the lake regain its natural balance? By laboriously pumping out the water and replacing it with fresh water? The effect would be short-lived.

Research

If, on the other hand, we investigate what has caused stagnation in its surroundings and eliminate this, the oxygen can get back into the water. At the level of the human body, osteopathy has made this process its core task. Not only does it focus on the painful region; it also examines the entire body for the cause. Movement tests and sensitive palpation make it possible to detect physical blockages both in the musculoskeletal system and in the internal organs.

Therapy

In order to establish a diagnosis, osteopathy draws on a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, in addition to the findings made through the senses. This combination of knowledge and touch makes it possible to relate the pain to its cause. To a certain extent, we recognize the blockages upstream and downstream, so that the water flow blockage is quickly retrieved and removed. In this way, the body should be able to regenerate on its own.

In order to achieve this process of self-healing, osteopathy uses a wide range of manipulations, mobilizations and gentle movements, through which natural mobility is restored and the body’s own self-healing mechanism is stimulated. According to craniosacral principles, it is also possible to gently stimulate the vitality of the tissue. Osteopathy uses it to treat acute and chronic disorders that are primarily caused by restricted mobility.

Osteopathy does not treat diseases in the actual sense; rather, it addresses movement disorders in the broadest sense.

Osteopathy is not limited to treating individual symptoms, but always sees the person as a whole.
It is therefore not diseases that are treated, but people. Therefore, it does not make sense to give indications for osteopathy. The elimination of symptoms is essentially not the aim of the treatment; it is merely a result of the dissolution of restrictions of osteopathic dysfunctions of all kinds.
